Commentary: Spain ETC army lists
I continue to comments ETC army lists. This time, comment on army lists of Spanish, who will be our opponents for first round. Surely I do not want to be compared with Internet celebrities such as Kirby or Stelek. All opinions which are published in this post are only my personal opinions, they aren’t be absolutly true and any of readers can disagree with me.

At the request of my team-mate, I prefer comments of the Spanish army of lists before the Latvian, because the Spanish guys will be the first, with whom our team has meets at the gaming table.
Imperial Guard
Ok two manticores for extreme range shooting, two hydras at long range, three vendettas and five chimeras. Melta CCS and flamer PCS will go in vendettas. Space Marines
Two raiders with TH/SS terminators, riffle dread, some tacticals in rhinos, attack bikes. Its not a lot of Marines. If opponent can deal with Land Raiders well, then Marines die quickly. Although I don’t bet on this army, it seems to me better than SW and BT Armies. Not strong as looks.
Dark Eldars
Dark Eldars looks like balanced between anti-tank and anti-infantry, but with less counter assault ability, but they goal isn’t face up to rock CC units. Space Wolves
Not so standard list of SWs. This list cannot be considered as drop pod list. Terminator Wolf guards will be distributed between units of long fangs. I have idea, that wolf guards with fists go with grey hunters and remaining combi meltas guards stay in pod and acts like SM Sternguard vets, but two of them can join wolf scout units. Without transport for two units of Grey Hunters they can be shoot out before reserves arrives to play. Second worst army in Spain team, I think.
Black Templars
After quick scan of BT list, it looks like worst list in Spanish team. I don’t know tactics about pairings, but I can’t imagine least little bit good match-up for these Templars especially if you go second or even Tyranids, which hating AP3 and better shoots. Ok, they can make fine anti tank with typhoons and lascannos, but they aren’t too mobile and can’t deal with hordes.After quick scan of BT list, it looks like worst list in Spanish team. Grey Knights
GK builds on full units of Strike squads with two psycannons, which transported by rhinos. For quick CC pressure he using Stormraven which would be transport unit of Henchmens with joined Inquisitor and venerable dreadnought and supporting Interceptor squad. For long range support using two psy dreads. I’m surprised with placing Dreadknight, he is one of two on whole ETC. So, this list is mainly about deadly alpha strike into close combat, but what you would do, when you stay against mech army? Two psy dreads are not enough for opening transports.
Orks
Spain and Italy guys have similar lists. Antonio have only three battlewagons and less Orks Boyz units, which gives him some extra points for full unit of Lootas a basic unit of greetchins as objective sitters. Other comments are simiar to Italy guy.
Blood Angels
Two five man strong units of TH/SS terminators in Land Raider Redeemers followed by two Sanguinary Priests and Librarian with unleash rage and shield of sanguinius. This list is similar to Italy team with exception of sniper scouts. For more comments visit Italy ETC army lists post.
Conclusion
Some Spanish lists look pretty well, like Dark Eldars or Blood Angels and Grey Knights with good set-up and some lists are crap, like Black Templars or Space Wolves.
Spanish guys seems to be great opponents for us in first round of tournament.
