ETC 2011: army list statistics part one
Becouse this is my first blog post in english and I’m not good english speaker and writer, please, be patient and I hope all readers will be understand. It’s time for second round of data mining from ETC list. I set up list of used models in separate armies and teams. That list contains count of used models per each codex entry and per player. List contains average models count per codex entry and absolute and average count of models per player. List contains data for nine codexes. Remaining codexes will be prepared until end of week.

Chaos Daemons
It seems that Chaos Daemons popularity is declining. Only five teams have decided to take the daemons on ETC. 4 of 5 lists are based on Bloodcrushers and Soul Grinders with the exception of my own list, which is based on full Fiedns, Tzeentch Heralds and Daemon Princes, and I think that is consistent against the wider spectrum of opponents. We’ll see.

Dark Eldars
The Dark Eldars lists we can see that most teams relies on anti-infantry shooting in large quantities and that’s what Dark Eldars really doing well. As the primary objective of these armies I see Ork’s Green tides or Tyranids.

Chaos Space Marines
Chaos Space Marines relies on years of proven concept Double Lash and maximum Obliterators. I can not imagine a better functioning versatile set up.

Necrons
Poor guy, I understand that Wraithwing is one of the best Necrons set-ups. I like to see play Necrons on local scene, but on competitive ETC event? Ok, we can’t lose, we phase out!

Orks
Orks are still popular. The list shows the three main streams. The first is based on large numbers of infantry, the other to maximize Battlewagons, the third combines infantry with a maximum of Killa Kans. We’ll see how they will fare. Here I must point out the Orks Czech team player who has masterfully highest number of models in the army and it is 227 models!

Space Marines
All teams except Northern Ireland deploying assault terminators in Land Raiders, thunderfire cannos and tactical squads. Northern Ireland betting on a large number of tactical squads and Sternguard Veterans in Drop Pods. I’m not sure whether the concept is ideal for SM. Just as I’m not sure with team Latvia with 20 scouts.

TAU Empire
TAU is not considered a strong army and the inclusion of this Codex to the team responds to this fact. Armies are basically similar. Commanders, Battlesuits, Kroots.

Tyranids
Tyranids armies are very similar, except for two exceptions, all built on a large number of Genestealers (average 40 per army) and several Tervigons and supporting Hive Guards. Dark Eldars are looking forward.

Witch Hunters
French team betting on pure Witch Hunters, the other teams combined army of the Imperial Guard. All but a sure bet three exorcists.
