Forge World Newsletter #312

Pravidelný Forge World Newsletter. Tentokrát trošku slabší, ale přece. Představuje se Space Marines Deimos Pattern Predator Infernus. Tešme se na další příliv resinového cracku.

Hi there,
In this week’s newsletter we’re turning up the heat (as there’s a distinct lack of summer in the UK) and releasing the Deimos Pattern Predator Infernus for pre-order. Also, with some of the Forge World team currently at GenCon Indy in the US, we thought we’d take the opportunity to remind you of some of the other events we’ll be attending around the world over the next few weeks.

Deimos Predator InfernusSpace Marine Deimos Pattern Predator Infernus
The Deimos Pattern Predator Infernus is an ancient pattern of Predator believed to date back to the hallowed days of the Great Crusade, which has now largely been replaced by the Land Raider Redeemer in many Chapters. The Crimson Fists, Fire Lords and Subjugators, among others, still value its close-range firepower when combating such xenos hordes as Orks, and in particular it is seeing resurgence amongst those Chapters confronting the Tyranid menace.

Certain ancient data sources speculate that the Predator Infernus was an attempt to replicate the Baal Predator STC stubbornly held by the honoured Blood Angels and their successors, and the same conjectural sources imply the superiority of this latter design in terms of speed, armour and armament. The Machine Cult of Mars’ gall at the Blood Angels’ refusal to release this precious relic is widely known, and so the Infernus boasts a fearsome armament in the form of a turret-mounted Flamestorm cannon, often replaced with the anti-armour potency of a Magna-melta, a devastating weapon originally intended for void-war boarding actions. Regardless of turret loadout, the Infernus is usually additionally equipped with sponson-mounted heavy bolters or heavy flamers.

The Deimos Pattern Predator Infernus, designed by Will Hayes, is a detailed resin and plastic complete kit that contains two different turret weapon options and two different sets of sponson weapons.Experimental rules for this powerful vehicle can be downloaded from the Forge World website, and it is available to pre-order now for despatch from Friday 31st August.

Forge World Events News
Friday 31st August to Sunday 2nd September is PAX Prime, at the Washington State Convention Centre in Seattle, USA. This is the first time that we’ve been to this incredible event, and again we will be joining Games Workshop and Black Library with our range of resin kits, books and modelling supplies, and this year’s Event Only models as well. We’re looking forward to seeing you there.

Games Day Australia and Games Day UK Reservations Now Being Taken
Sunday 9th September is Games Day Australia, at the Australian Technology Park in Sydney, and we will be journeying down under with Mark Bedford from our studio design team.

Meanwhile Sunday 23rd September is Games Day UK at the NEC in Birmingham, our biggest event of the year. We’ll be bringing you more information about our presence at this amazing event in the next few weeks. Our entire studio team will be in attendance along with lavish displays of both new and work-in-progress artwork and models, as well as with several of our immense display tables.

We’ll also have a vast sales stand containing a massive selection of our range of resin kits, books and modelling supplies, including our Event Only models and maybe even a few cheeky pre-release kits in limited numbers.

We’re now taking reservation orders for both Games Day UK and Australia, and a reservation order is the best way to ensure that we will have the exact products that you want, packed and waiting for you to collect. Games Day UK and Games Day Australia reservation orders are pre-paid to make the collection process quicker and easier, leaving you with more time to enjoy the rest of the event.

To place a reservation order for Games Day UK, just call the Forge World customer service team on 0115 900 4995 between 9am – 6pm Monday to Friday, or 9am – 5pm on Saturday. We’ll need your name, a contact e-mail address and a full list of the items you wish to order, and you’ll need the card you wish to use for payment to hand as well.

To place a reservation order for Games Day Australia, please contact GW Australia customer service on +61 (0)2 9829 6111, or visit your local Hobby Centre, or e-mail AU.Hobbyservice@gwplc.com with any queries, and please note that we need to receive your reservation orders by Monday 20th August.

GW Australia will take your name and a contact e-mail address along with the details of the kits you wish to order, as well as processing your payment there and then.

For both Games Days we will send you a confirmation e-mail listing your order number in the week before the event. This is your proof of payment, and you must bring this with you to the event to collect your reservation.

Thanks,
Ead Brown
